A NOTE FROM:
The Riverton Improvement Association
Increasing the momentum…
There are lots of great things happening in Riverton right now. The Garden Club was recognized by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for their fine work at the train station, the borough square is being completed, Nu-Way is gone! To further support these current improvements, a group of us felt it was a good time to re-invigorate the Riverton Improvement Association (RIA). Incorporated in 1996, the mission of the RIA is to assist the borough government through fundraising, funding and undertaking maintenance and improvement projects in our public spaces.
We welcome the support, input and involvement of interested citizens. We are currently establishing a list of potential projects and would like your thoughts. Two examples of ideas currently under consideration are re-painting our “Welcome to Riverton” signs and adding one at the north end of the Borough on Broad Street and adding additional ‘gas’ lamps. Obviously, we will also be raising money to fund these projects.
Purpose:

The corporation shall, in furtherance of its purpose, report to the municipal government on a semi-annual basis.” Article Three of the Certificate of Incorporation
